Habakkuk 2:17-19

¹⁷ For the ^(A)violence ^[a]done to Lebanon will cover you,
And the devastation of its beasts ^[b]by which you terrified them,
^(B)Because of human bloodshed and ^(C)violence ^[c]done to the land,
To the town and all its inhabitants.

¹⁸ “What ^(D)profit is the graven image when its maker has engraved it,
Or a molten image, a ^(E)teacher of ^[d]lies?
For its maker ^(F)trusts in his own making
When he fashions speechless idols.
¹⁹ Woe to him who ^(G)says to a piece of wood, ‘^(H)Awake!’
To a mute stone, ‘Arise!’
And that is your teacher?
Behold, it is overlaid with ^(I)gold and silver,
And there is ^(J)no breath at all inside it.
